2. These terms

These terms apply when you buy from our website as a consumer. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish, EU or UK law.

3. Our products

We describe and photograph our jewellery as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different on your screen, and sizes shown are approximate. The metal and materials of each piece are stated in its description. If you have a sensitivity to certain metals, please check the description or contact us before ordering.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in euro (€) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. We accept payment by debit or credit card, processed securely by Stripe, and by PayPal. We do not see or store your full card details.

If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then buy at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Placing an order

You must be 18 or over to place an order. After you order, we will email you to acknowledge it. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm your order has been dispatched. If we cannot supply an item, we will tell you and refund you in full.

6. Delivery

•         Free delivery on orders over €25 to addresses in Ireland, and over €100 to international addresses. Below these amounts, delivery charges are shown at checkout.

•         We aim to dispatch within 2 working days. Delivery times depend on destination and are estimates. We will deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree otherwise with you.

•         The goods are your responsibility once you, or someone you nominate, receive them.

•         Orders outside the EU (including Great Britain): your order may be subject to import VAT, customs duty or handling fees charged by your country on delivery. These are payable by the recipient and are not included in our prices.

•         If your order hasn't arrived within the expected time, please contact us and we will help trace it.

7. Your right to cancel (90-day cooling-off period)

You can cancel your order for any reason within 90 days of the day you, or someone you nominate, receive the goods. If your order arrives in separate deliveries, the 90 days run from receipt of the last item.

How to cancel: tell us clearly before the 90 days end, by email to [email protected] or using the model cancellation form below.

Returning the goods: send the goods back to Precious Prayers, PO Box 2339, Ballyogan, D18 E098, within 7 days of telling us you are cancelling. Unless the item is faulty or incorrect, you pay the cost of returning it.

Your refund: we will refund the price paid within 14 days of being told you are cancelling. We may hold the refund until we receive the goods back or you show proof of return, whichever is first. Refunds go back to your original payment method.

You may handle an item as you would in a shop to check it. If an item is returned worn, damaged, or without its original packaging and this reduces its value, we may deduct an amount to reflect that.

Exceptions: the right to cancel does not apply to:

•         items personalised or engraved to your specification;

•         pierced earrings, for health and hygiene reasons.

8. Faulty or incorrect items

Our jewellery must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as you can at [email protected]. We will cover the cost of returning it.

Your legal rights include:

•         Within 30 days of delivery: you can reject a faulty item and receive a full refund.

•         After 30 days: you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem, you can have a price reduction or a refund.

•         In Ireland, claims for faulty goods can be made for up to six years, depending on how long the item could reasonably be expected to last.

These rights apply to sale items too, and to anyone who receives one of our products as a gift. For full details, see the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) or, in the UK, Citizens Advice.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Our products are for personal use; we are not liable for business losses.

10. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption or severe weather. We will tell you if this affects your order, and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay is significant.

11. Website content

All text, photographs and designs on this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them without our written consent.

12. Reviews

If you send us a review or testimonial, we may publish it on our website and social media with your first name and county, unless you ask us not to.

13. Complaints and disputes

If you are unhappy, please contact us first at [email protected]; we will do our best to put things right. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the CCPC (www.ccpc.ie). Customers in other EU countries can contact the European Consumer Centre in their country. You may also use the District Court Small Claims procedure for claims up to €2,000.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Irish law. If you live in another EU country, the UK, or elsewhere you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order.
