Ever wondered the meaning of the Miraculous Medal? On November 27, 1830, Saint Catherine Labouré saw Blessed Mother Mary appear during her evening meditations. Mary asked Catherine to take the image of what she saw to her Father Confessor, telling him that they should be put on medalliions, and said:
"All who wear them will receive great graces"
Every Miraculous Medal has the image of the apparition on the front and the symbols, as instructed by Mary on the back: a circle of twelve stars, the letter M with cross above it, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced with a sword.
